THE JUNE BALL INSTALMENT SCHEME

The June Ball Instalment Scheme is open to all guests with a ticket, and sign up for the scheme will be released after ticket allocation. The Instalment Scheme enables those who wish to pay for their ticket in three instalments.

Types of Tickets

Those with a Dining ticket will be welcomed with a drinks reception on the Barbican at 18:00 and a spectacular dining experience in the Great Hall, commencing at 18:45 sharp. Those with an Ents ticket will enjoy their drink reception from 18:45. All guests will then be free to roam the spaces of the Castle and explore the entertainment, food, and drink on offer until 06:00.

Dining ticket: ~£135 (exact cost TBC before ticket release)

Ents ticket: £91

Note: For non-JCR members, there is an additional £35 (Dining) / £30 (Ents) onto the prices stated here.

The dress code for the Ball is White Tie, however Black Tie with a White Bow Tie also suitable.

Priority Groups

As is tradition, The June Ball ticket applications shall be conducted in pairs. All applications will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis. So, should you apply for a June Ball Dining ticket and not be allocated one, you will automatically be considered for an Ents ticket within your priority group.

Third Year JCR students on a four-year course can choose to be treated as Finalists this year or next year, and in the year that they are not taking priority, they are classed as a Non-Priority Finalist - regardless of being in third or fourth year. Master’s students who have graduated with their first degree from University College and have remained in the JCR are treated the same as undergraduates on a four-year course. The Committee will check for both of these once ticket applications have come in, and anyone found trying to claim to be a higher priority than they actually are, will be dropped to the bottom priority group.

University College JCR Alumni who were awarded Lifetime JCR membership may apply for a ticket under the University College JCR Non-Priority Finalist category, in recognition for their service to the JCR.
